Arbour Lake

Established: 1992

Arbour Lake is a distinct community in the Northwest quadrant of Calgary, with mountain views, weekend access to the Rockies and still only a short drive from downtown. In the heart of the community is a 10 acre, 20 foot deep, lake, that gets it's water directly from the City of Calgary's water supply and is stocked three times a year with Rainbow Trout. Fishing, boating and swimming in the summer, ice fishing and skating in the winter, are only a few of the activities available exclusively to the resident's of Arbour Lake and their guests. Within the community boundaries there is a state of the art YMCA, a huge regional shopping at Crowfoot Centre, a pathway system incorporating regional parks, tot lots, and the city's bike path system. Residents are within close proximity to the University, The Calgary Foothills General Hospital, SAIT and McMahon Stadium with easy access to Mount Royal College. Arbour Lake offers a quality of living unmatched by any in northwest. It accommodates approximately 10,000 to 11,000 people and 3,800 dwelling units.
